DLSUMC to mark silver jubilee
(Dasmarinas, Cavite) - The De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC), the hospital arm of the De La Salle-Health Sciences Campus will mark its 25th year of founding this 2007 with a launching event to be held from February 12-16. With the theme “Kalingang DLSUMC: 25 taong serbisyong de kalidad”, the celebration will be highlighted by the launching of the new DLSUMC Imaging and Diagnostic Center on February 15.
Featured in the Center are three new equipment from General Electric Healthcare, foremost of which is the Lunar Prodigy Advance Digital Densitometer. The computer-assisted, whole body densitometer is the premier machine for detecting osteoporosis. DLSUMC is the second hospital in the country to have acquired it, and the only one outside Metro Manila. The other two machines are the Millennium MPR Gamma Camera and the Signa Profile Excite Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system.
Meanwhile, the celebration will kick off with a motorcade around Cavite on February 12. During the week, the Hospital will conduct a blood letting activity, celebrate Heart Month, and recognize HMO partners. Also, silver jubilee awards for loyalty and service will be conferred on hospital personnel who have served the hospital for 25 years. Other activities include an exhibit, an ati-atihan showdown, residents’ nights, and a talent extravaganza.
